FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
We’re based in Crystal Beach, Ontario, just a short drive from Fort Erie, Ridgeway, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Welland, and the rest of the Niagara Region. For security reasons, the exact pickup address is shared once your rental is confirmed.
-
If any equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen, let us know immediately. For minor issues we can repair on-site, we handle it. For serious damage or complete loss, you’ll be responsible for repair or replacement costs. It’s always best to let us know right away so we can find a replacement and avoid shoot delays. If you're renting gear over $1,000 in value or using it for a professional shoot, we strongly recommend short-term rental insurance if you don't already have a full policy.
-
For smaller bookings, we typically don’t require a deposit. However, if your rental includes a lot of gear or requires significant prep time, we may ask for a one-day rental fee upfront as a deposit to reserve your items. This helps us block off the gear, begin prepping, and ensure it’s ready when you need it. The deposit goes toward your final rental total and is non-refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of pickup. We’ll let you know at the time of booking if a deposit is required.
-
Yes; if the gear isn’t booked by someone else, we can extend your rental. Just reach out before your return time. We’ll update your booking and confirm the extension. It’s a smooth process if there’s availability.
-
Please bring government-issued photo ID and a credit card for a temporary security hold, if required. You can pay for the rental itself by cash, credit card, or e-transfer. If someone else is picking up on your behalf, they’ll need their own ID and written permission from you.
-
We understand things don’t always run on schedule. Let us know before your return and we’ll try to accommodate you, sometimes with just a small extra hour/day charge. If you don’t give us a heads-up, late fees may apply, so keep us in the loop!
-
Sometimes. If you're renting high-value gear or it's your first rental with us, we might require a temporary hold on your credit card, usually around 30% of the total value. As long as gear returns in good shape, the hold is released within a few days. Alternatively, we may waive this requirement if you provide a valid certificate of insurance (COI).
-
We don’t require insurance for every rental, but you’re responsible for any gear while it’s in your possession. For rentals over $2,500 or higher-risk shoots, we may ask for a short-term rental insurance policy or COI. If you’re unsure how to get one, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
-
While we test all our gear before each rental, we highly advise you to fully inspect your gear when you pick it up. If something’s off, we’ll swap it or make it right on the spot. If you don’t mention an issue until after your shoot, we may not be able to confirm whether the problem occurred before or after pickup, so always check while you're still with us.
-
Perhaps! We have more gear than what’s listed on the site. If you’re looking for something specific, just ask. If we don’t have it, we might be able to source it or suggest an alternative.
